The documentation of FLAG Network explains its open-source project which is a blockchain constructed for scaling from the very beginning. They answer the questions of why FLAG Network is helpful, how to utilize it, how it operates, and why it will remain to operate for long even after the FLAG Network company shuts down. The purpose of the FLAG Network structure is to introduce to everyone that there is a set of software algorithms that can remove software as a performance bottleneck if it is used in combination to perform a blockchain. This method allows transaction throughput to scale proportionally with network bandwidth. This structure continues to meet all three necessary properties of a decent blockchain. These three properties are scalability, security, and decentralization.
The structure represents a theoretical upper bound of 781,000 transactions per second (tps) on a standard gigabit network which is equal to 31,240,000 tps on a 40-gigabit one. Besides, the structure encourages secure, simultaneous implementation of programs composed in general-purpose programming languages such as C or Rust.
